Aga Khan Palace in Pune, also known as the Gandhi National Memorial

 


30 km (19 m) from the city of Aurangabad, in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

34 caves or structures excavated out of the vertical face of the Charanandri hills, built between the 5th century and 10th century.
12 Buddhist (caves 1–12), 17 Hindu (caves 13–29) and 5 Jain (caves 30–34) caves.

A museum inside the palace complex has a collection of pictures and photographs from Mahatma Gandhi's life. There is also assortment of his personal items.

Small amount of Gandhi's ashes are kept here in a memorial garden in the palace grounds.
